Privacy policy
For the Convert+ Android app (package inc.trilokia.convert), made by Trilokia Inc. Last updated: 21 October 2026.
Convert+ is an offline file converter and PDF toolkit. Every tool runs on your phone. The app has no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising and no crash-reporting service. We never see your files, and we never see what you do with them.
What we collect
Nothing. Convert+ does not collect, store or send any personal data to us or to anyone else.
Your files
- The files you share or pick are read and converted on your phone. They are never uploaded to any server.
- Results are saved by the app into the folder you choose (for example Downloads or Pictures) through Android's media store. On Android 9 and older the app asks for the storage permission to do this.
- The app does not ask for "All files access". It only sees the files you give it.
- Results you have not saved yet are kept in the app's own storage for the History tab and cleared after a few days. You can delete any of them at once by swiping.
What stays on your phone
Your history of results, your saved recipes, your settings, and any text or signature you typed or drew for a tool. All of this is stored only on your phone. Android's backup may copy the app's settings to your Google account if you have backup turned on. Deleting the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, removes all of it.
Network connections the app makes
Convert+ goes online for two small things only, and neither carries your files or any personal data:
- Updates and the review prompt. Google Play's in-app update and review services tell the app when a new version is ready and, now and then, ask whether you want to rate it. These are part of Google Play services and are covered by Google's privacy policy. On a phone without Google Play, the app instead reads a small file at
https://www.trilokiainc.com/convert/update.jsonthat says what the newest version is. - Our other apps. The "More apps" screen reads a list of our apps and their icons from
https://www.trilokiainc.com/apps.json. A copy ships inside the app for phones that are offline.
Like any web request, these two carry your phone's IP address to the server that answers them. We do not log or keep it. There are no other network calls, and the app has no analytics or tracking code.
On-device features from Google
- Scanner, OCR and picture to text use Google ML Kit, which runs on your phone. Google Play services may download the recognition models for your language the first time you use them. The images you scan or read never leave the phone. ML Kit's usage reporting is switched off in Convert+.
- Audio to text uses Android's own on-device speech recognizer (Android 13 and newer). Android may insist on the microphone permission even when the tool reads a file; Convert+ asks for it only when you run that tool, and nothing is ever recorded.
- Read aloud uses the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone. Depending on that engine's own settings, it may use the internet to speak; Convert+ itself does not send the text anywhere.
- Summary (on phones that have it) uses the Gemini Nano model built into Android, on the phone.
Permissions
- Notifications and a foreground service, so that long jobs keep running and show their progress.
- Microphone, only for the Audio to text tool, as explained above.
- Storage, only on Android 9 and older, to save results.
- Internet, only for the update check and the "More apps" list.
The app does not ask for the camera permission; the scanner uses the document-scanner screen provided by Google Play services. It does not ask for location, contacts, phone or SMS.
Privacy tools
The Privacy check, Mask Aadhaar and Redaction tools look for Aadhaar, PAN, GSTIN, IFSC and card numbers inside your files. This happens on the phone, and nothing found is stored or sent anywhere. The tools help you share a document more safely; always check the result before you send it.
Children
Convert+ is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to change much.
